Arunachala, while you replaced my crazed obsession for material tings with equally passionate craze for you, it’s still a from of obsession/madness. Please administer the greatest medicine so I can be cured of that madness(for you) as well and bless me with your real pure form, asks Bhagavan.
With the sole exception of gnanis whose minds are destroyed and are in self-realised blissful state, everyone else is gripped with some form of insanity and obsessive craze for something or the other in this material world. To cure this craze/madness, only he who created this in us can help for only he has the precious medicine, which Bhagavan refers to as ‘piththam theLi marundh aruL’ which literally means ‘madness, cure, rare medicine. TRK says malai marundhu which is mountain medicine. Since Arunachala’s grace can dispel our ignorance, it is the medicine for our ailment.
