Chayyena thaLLir sei vinai sudumalaal
Uyi vagaiyedhurai Arunachala

Meaning
Arunachala! If you reject me, a jiva who has come to you, with disdain, my previous karmas (vinai) will burn me like fire. So please show me a way to redeem myself.

Explanation
Since Bhagavan says ‘sudum’ we should understand that previous (prarabhda) karmas are like fire. How do I escape from that fire? What is the way out? Since I do not know the way, please show it to me with your grace, pleads Bhagavan helplessly.

It is very rare to find anyone who has no flaws (or not sinned resulting in karma). If you point out my mistakes/sins/shortcomings to me and reject me disdainfully, it doesn’t behove you (as a god of grace). If you don’t help me redeem myself from my karmas, what else can I (a jiva) do?
My note: Sounds like ‘Che’ (rhymes with ‘pa’ in pack), or ‘Chee’, ‘thoo’ in Tamil convey disgust and disdain.

This is my attempt at translating T.R.Kanakammal's Nool Thirattu in English for those devotees who don't understand Tamil. Hope it helps you. Ramana Saranam! Periyava Saranam!
